 An article in the Military Times talks about a Defense Health Agency report revealed a 40% rise in mental health diagnoses among active-duty troops from 2019 to 2023, with PTSD and anxiety disorders nearly doubling. Mental health conditions now dominate hospital bed usage, influenced by factors like the COVID-19 pandemic, affecting over 540,000 service members during this period.
